Tip
If you
want high performance from your make-up then start with
the best base that you can. Whilst cheaper lipsticks or
eyeshadows may be okay, your make-up will never look right
if you don’t use a good foundation. Invest in a good product
from one of the big-name house such as Estee Lauder or Christian
Dior. Apart from getting a quality product, you are bound
to get the best advice as to colour and suitability from
personal service. The beauty representative will always
allow you to try the product on your face as opposed to
the back of your hand (never a true guide), and will suggest
which product will suit your skin type. My young niece swears
by Estee Lauders Double Wear Stay-In-Place Foundation, which
is oil-free and semi-matte. I, on the other hand, being
somewhat maturer, prefer Estee's Lucidity Base, which has
a lovely texture and is wonderfully light and reflective.
Both priced around £20 - not cheap, but definitely cheerful!
