TEA-TIME
As a nation of tea drinkers we all know how wonderful a good cup of tea is for every kind of occasion, but how about going green? Green tea is a powerful anti-oxidant, which means it helps fight ageing and the damaging effects of free radicals. Its also said to help boost the immune system and lower cholesterol levels.

Latest research also shows that green tea extracts may have a slimming effect. Apparently, it works to increase energy expenditure, helping to burn off fat.
So think about exchanging your usual tea bag once in a while for a cup of this wonder brew! And whilst your at it, why not try Elizabeth Ardens Green Tea Scent Spray, an unusual fragrance, but said to lift and energise the senses.

DID YOU KNOW that blonde hair is more porous and draws in more smoke and air pollution than other shades. Use a detox shampoo every couple of weeks to freshen and always use a rich conditioner to seal cuticles.

HOLIDAYS SNAPS
Whilst we all love the sunshine at this time of year, for some, even the lightest exposure to sunshine causes an itchy rash that due to sensitivity to sunlight. Photosensitivity as its known can be caused by a rare disease so if its particularly severe its worth mentioning to your GP. Most often, though, it can be caused by the ingestion of various medications, including over-the-counter remedies. Man chemicals applied to the skin can also have the same result, especially perfumes and even some sun tan lotions!

It would be well worthwhile to experiment by avoiding anything perfumed, including soaps etc before going out into sun and use a full sun-block on exposed skin. Do not, of course , stop taking any medication prescribed for you but you may want to ask your GP if an alternative is available.

Many readers ask if there are any ways to help hair to grow faster, especially after disastrous hair cuts!
Expert trichologist Philp Kingsley says 'Try increasing your intake of protein, found in meat, dairy products and nuts, and have a hearty breakfast. Hair folicles need most energy in the morning, so feed your hair.
Daily scalp massaging also promotes growth.
