If, like me, you don't like the feeling of a full foundation on your skin, why not try a tinted moisturiser just to even out the skin tone. With advanced formulations available now it's easy to get all the healthy-looking glow that you need for a day-time look.

Many contain sunscreens and most brands offer a selection of shades so you should be able to find one to suit. As with a foundation, choose one that's closest to the skins own tone - don't be put off that you may not see any colour immediately as the shade will enhance on the face after a minute or two.

Follow with a light dusting of loose powder if you use it, then make up the face as usual.
Our top 5 are
• Botanics Natural Radiance (Boots)
• Borjois Teint Secret
• ROC Hydra Teint
• Clarins Revitalizing Tinted Moisture
• Colourings Tinted Moisturizer

I have to admit to being in my element with all the gorgeous fashion around at the moment. Wandering through the town the other day I was delighted to see so much pink! Pink has long since been my favourite colour for absolutely everything, any shade, any item - it's a colour that just makes me feel good. So it was great to see that it is still going to be the big colour for the coming seasons, especially teamed up with all
the denim that's around at the moment. Try the beautifully soft almond pink shades next to the face and see how it lights up the complexion - wonderfully feminine and very forgiving against the first signs of ageing. For a really smart look, team it up with black trousers and a black chiffon scarf tied at the neck French -style - a great look for the office.

But if, like me, you're a pink fanatic don't just stop there! Pink is definitely très chic for the home just now - take a look at all the pink kitchen items that are around at the moment, from tea caddy's to kettles, pants, utensils, you name it, its there in pink! Teamed up with apple green and the new florals, it really conjours up the taste of the Provence that is so in vogue just now for our homes. Well, I'll certainly be giving the cheque-book a thrashing on my next shopping trip, why don't you join me and THINK PINK!

Feeling a little blue at the moment? The months in between Christmas and Spring can be a little flat - long, grey days can leave us less that cheery but don't despair, Spring is definitely around the corner.

We've all been keeping up with our New Years Resolution here, which includes a ten minute open-air walk three times a week and we've all noticed increased bird activity and spring bulbs poking their heads up tentatively. We even walked in sunshine twice last week - jolly cold though, but just to see the sun is really uplifting.
If you're not, lucky enough to walk in a countryside surrounding, then make sure your walk takes you near to a florist show and take advantage of the reasonably priced bunches on offer at this time of year. Tulips and daffodils are really affordable and what could be more cheering than jugs full of spring flowers dotted around the house. Go for really bright coloured blooms and arrange them less formally - as if you've brought an armful picked at random from your garden, you'll soon be feeling spring-like and counting down the days to better weather.
