Milk
Baths
Cleopatra is famous for bathing in luxurious milk baths
but you don't have to go that far to get beautifully soft
skin. Try adding a cup full of powdered milk to your bath!
Yes, really. The lactic acid in the milk powder will remove
dead skin cells leaving your skin silky soft. Just sprinkle
in under the hot water tap and for a real touch of luxury
add a few drops of essential oil such as jasmine or rose.

RED
VEINS
Red veins on your face can look unsightly but with the latest
Vein-Vanishing treatments can give you back your confidence.
Red Veins are caused by fragility of small capillaries in
the skin. 'Factors known to increase the incidence of broken
capillaries include exposure to sun, wind and temperature
extremes' says DR Raus Rotnavel, Consultant Dermatologist
and adviser to Neutrogina. "Steroid Creams, hormonal changes
during pregnancy, and radiotherapy are also known to cause
broken capillaries. Additionally, they are seen in conjunction
with the skin condition rosacea". Laser treatment is generally
the most effective way of getting rid of red veins. However,
some people believe complementary medicine can also help the
problem. Eating a diet rich in Vitamin C may help strengthen
capillaries, and taking extra Vitamin E could help repair
broken capillaries to lessen the red, ruddy look of the skin.
Vatican K applied directly to the skin is said to help strengthen
the veins and reduce redness. |

Q:
I have a problem with static after I have washed my hair.
Any tips?
A: Mark Hayes from Vidal
Sassoon Salons says "Use leave-in conditioners to add
weight and minimise static. Also bear in mind that the
most common cause of static hair is overdrying. The special
properties within heat-protection sprays or styling lotions
will provide a barrier against static, and using a boar's
bristle brush, as opposed to a plastic one, will also
help fight that flyaway hair.
