Views & tips from your side of the counter........
As most of us are aware, October is Breast Cancer Care month. The Breast Cancer Care Campaign is asking everyone in the U.K to ‘Wear It Pink’ on Friday 26th Oct and donate £2 each to the charity so it can continue with its help and support of suffers.

The idea is to wear an item of pink clothing (work permitting) – anything will do, pink socks, pink t-shirt, even a pink wig if u dare!

If you can’t reasonably do this at work how about painting your nails pink or wearing pink underwear. Many of my friends have done ‘Ribbon Walks’- organised sponsored walks to help raise both money and awareness and some are committed to a ‘gift-aid’ donation of £2 per month to help with long-term research projects.

It’s scary to think that 1 in 9 woman will develop Breast Cancer in their lifetime, but heart warming to see people of all ages doing their utmost to support such a worthy cause.

ASDA have a fantastic range of over 70 ‘tickled pink’ items- slippers, t-shirts, watches, even televisions! We all love the ‘tickled pink mirror mints’ ideal to keep in your handbag, as well as the tote umbrella which will come in handy in the rainy days ahead.
We may moan from time to time about our boobs- too big, too small etc but lets spare a thought (and a bit of cash) for our fellow sisters, mothers, friends, aunties and fellow women everywhere who may not still be in possession of theirs, we really wish them well during their difficult times and send them all good hopes for their future.

At this time of year I love to see a return of all the crystal and diamante style jewellery.

Whilst I really enjoyed the chunky nugget style jewellery of the summer I admit to loving my bit of sparkle!

To me, diamonds really are a girls best friend (or okay, whatever looks like diamonds!) and with the party season approaching I can’t wait to bring out the little black dress and dangly crystal earrings.

For that extra bit of glamour (or dare I say Christmas gifts) add some sparkle to your hairdo with some of the beautiful crystal hair accessories around.

Instead of using regular hairgrips treat yourself to some crystal covered ones to really add the wow factor to your up do! And how lovely to wear a beautiful crystal brooch clipped into your hair for a special occasion.

Take a look at our full range of hair accessories and add a touch of glamour to your winter outfits.

Did you know…….

That an infusion of ginger can help to calm down redness of the skin and broken capillaries.

Just cut a few slices of fresh ginger and boil with a cupful of water in a small pan.
When it has reduced to around half its consistency turn off the heat and allow to cool.

Drink in the morning, preferably on an empty stomach.

Ginger infusion can also help with hay fever and sinus problems as it can help keep the mucus membranes clear.
