Some
of the most successful women
in the world
A beautiful age
Ukhairdressers has recently launched a popular new gallery
called the “Fabulous
40+ Club”, featuring women over 40 who are admired for
their style and beauty. They come from the world of TV,
film, pop, industry and politics, all making the most of
their looks and living life to the full.
The economy is contracting and many companies are reviewing
their assets in more ways than you would expect.
Recently, some big name establishments have been criticised
for suggesting that their business could have an edge over
competitors, if their female staff wore high heels and make-up!
While some of us can’t face the world without mascara and
lipstick, others feel that this “suggestion” is a form of
discrimination.
Regardless of your viewpoint on this controversial subject
- successful, powerful women are usually extremely well-presented.
They take the time and trouble to dress smartly; making
an unspoken statement that they are in control and ready
for business.
These women know, that if they feel comfortable with the
way they look, they can get on with the job and draw strength
from the confidence of making the right impression.
It’s an accepted fact, that when you meet someone for the
first time, whether in business or social circles; they
will form an opinion of you based on this initial contact.
So the way you present yourself will tell them a lot about
the sort of person you are.
There’s much rhetoric about women using their charms to
push on in their careers, but in reality, the women who
make it to the top of their chosen professions, have a great
deal more about them than killer heels and a power suit!

Many
of the world’s most powerful women in politics and industry
are over 40 and they know that short skirts and lip gloss
will not break through the so called “glass ceiling”. However,
being capable of attaining a high flying job, brings with
it a level of expectation and “making the best of your appearance”
is almost part of the job description.
There are many classic looks chosen by the women at the
top, they range from the low maintenance short crop; the
chic bob and the shoulder length flick to the poker straight
glass shine and the touseled curls favoured by celebrities.
